Murray and Nancy Watkinson are the Apostolic leaders of the Celebration Centre movement of churches.
Murray and Nancy grew up under the umbrella of the Nazarene church, which they are grateful for, with its emphasis on holiness living and emphasis on the Word of God. However, back in the ’80′s God “broke the law” and Murray and Nancy were baptised in the Holy Spirit which forced them and the church they pastored to come out from the umbrella of the Nazarenes who weren’t at that time, happy with such manifestations as speaking in tongues.
But God had His plans and by the ’90′s a move of the Holy Spirit corresponded with an explosion of growth and Celebration Centre Movement of Churches was in its infant stages.
God spoke to Murray about having a “pile of bricks” and the need to “build His house” and bring order. Out of this revelation, came the emphasis, and now heart of all our churches – cell group.
Everything we do in the church movement is relationship based, be it cell groups, missions, encounter weekends etc
We are a people strong on relationship with the Lord and with each other.
